This really is a site that has links to lots and lots of Freeware software, software that's free and usually works. I found the link via Geek News Central, a weblog I've subscribed to.
I was just thinking of all the freeware I use, I don't know if each owner calls their software free, but it's free to me!
- SharpReader RSS Feed
- ieSpell spellchecker for Explorer
- AVG anti virus
- ZoneAlarm firewall
- Mozilla Firefox browser
- Google toolbar
- Skype PC to PC voice and chat
- Trillian client for MSN, Yahoo, AOL chat
- MSN Chat
- Yahoo Chat
- AOL Chat
- Eyeball Chat for video chat
- Ad-aware for finding spyware
- Spybot for finding spyware
- IrfanView for photo viewing and editing
WoW! I didn't realise how much free software I use regularly, in fact, most of them are used daily.
Come to think of it, what software have I paid for.....
- Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- PaintShop Pro for photo editing
- MindManager for MindMaps
The Freeware wins, and I could probably replace all my paid for software (except I've already paid for it, so I might as well use it) with good Freeware.
