So let me get this right.
We here in Victoria, Australia, are being put on a massive guilt trip to conserve water, and we have water restrictions in place. Sounds Good.
But wait a minute, correct me if I'm wrong.
70% of water is consumed by agriculture.
20% of water is consumed by industry.
10% of water is consumed by home consumers.
So if the home consumers are good people and consume 10% less water we save 1% of overall water consumption.
This campaign and guilt trip to get us to save water is bullshit then!
Why not concentrate on the 2 biggest consumers of water, and save massive amounts of water?
How did it get this way, that we are being so badly brainwashed?
Have I missed something here?
It's water that will take Australia from good to great.
Someone pointed out today, that Australia could import more food, at a lower cost, develop better regional relationships as a result, and save the water!!
