Microsoft Neutral Discrimination Scoble Thing!

Given that I've just discussed and recorded over Skype with Johnnie MooreScoble's weblog entry on Steve Ballmer's memo to Microsoft employees, on Microsoft taking a neutral stance on an Anti-Discrimination bill, I'd better make some comments here.

It will be interesting to see how it pans out.  My first reaction, is to wonder what is prompting Steve Ballmer to send out the memo.  Blog or no blog, it was bound to leak out.

Secondly, it will be the conventional media's reaction that will decide where this goes,if anywhere.

Thirdly, what pressure is Steve Ballmer under from institutional shareholders?

Other than that, what is the obsession that the USA and Catholic church has with homosexuality?
I don't get it.  Of all the things to have high on the agenda, I'd have thought, education, world poverty, God and spirituality, children, peace (or war!), would be more important.

Anyway, I digress, Microsoft has opened up a can of worms and a Pandora's box at the same time, and it will be interesting to see if they can nail the lid back on!  Otherwise they'll end up with a public company having open debate in front of its institutional shareholders.
You can't have that can you?

My prediction.  USA capitalism is going to disappear up it's own ass through the legal system, and everyone suing everyone else. Just wait for the Microsoft shareholder suing for Microsoft having this debate in public!!  Oh and someone else suing for Microsoft being discriminatory.
They're damned both ways.

Oh and Google wanted to become a publicly owned company.  Why!!!
