And another thing from yesterday....If you're going to animate your PowerPoint slides, you'd better make damn sure they run quickly, otherwise the animations become the highlight and not what you're saying or the content.
I didn't realise until yesterday how quickly an audience picks up the animation until I was in the audience as a client yesterday, and how damn irritating slow animation (which when you're at your PC seems fast) is. My advice, is pick the fastest option and ask yourself if there is any reason to slow it down. Watching words slowly drop/twizzle/spin/somersault letter by letter is like torture, and your mind starts to wander to guess which pissy animation the next word is going to perform!
We read fast. We watch adverts and cartoons move at amazingly fast speeds. So those PowerPoint slides better move bloody quickly.
