Somedays you just want to say what's on your mind.
Today I punctured a tyre on my bike!! I lead an exciting life.
Well for me this was exciting, because I've had the bike for 10 years, a mountain bike with slick road tyres, and to my amazement both tyres have lasted this long, to the point where our chemistry teacher in 4th year used to warn us about white-walled tyres disintegrating from free-radicals, and I've been looking at my white walled tyres for years, wondering when they would. Today. Actually, it was a nail right in the middle of the back tyre.
Called the wife, and started walking home. Got half way home, when she picked me up, just before a bike shop. Stopped at the bike shop, and though busy, offered to put the tyres on there and then. So credit to Gran Prix Bicycles. Picked up the wheels/tyres later, and can't wait to try them tomorrow. It's like when you clean the car out and put it through a car wash, somehow the car goes faster!!
(And many times I go look for a photo to illustrate something, I keep finding Aussies. And yet again, the picture is courtesy of My Connected Community, and Yippee, it tells me how to repair a puncture.)
This site is a fraud - in particular the "desert island discs" list. Either there is some terrible error or you are an impostor. Anyone who knows Tony Goodson would recall that his very first (and last) choice of disc would be
NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN.
Nights in white satin,
Never reaching the end,
Letters Ive written,
Never meaning to send.
Beauty Id always missed
With these eyes before,
Just what the truth is
I cant say anymore.
cause I love you,
Yes, I love you,
Oh, how, I love you.
Even now, those of us who know the REAL Tony Goodson can picture him, earphones clasped to his head, singing along at top volume - and really meaning every word.
